For Immediate Release –

Riverbend Co-op is thrilled to announce a significant investment in its energy supply future. In 2023 Riverbend will be adding two Electric Vehicle charging stations, one in Davidson, and the other in Outlook.

“Riverbend Co-op has been a proud energy supplier for over 90 years,” Greg Sarvis, Riverbend’s General Manager shared. “Transitioning to new forms of transportation energy is a natural fit, which complements our businesses.”

Both new stations will be part of the FLO EV charging network. Each will be equipped with two Multi-Standard DC Fast Charging stations capable of 100kW maximum output. The stations will be compatible with the SAE & CHAdeMO connections.

“With these new stations Riverbend will now be able to supply energy to all EV models currently available in the North American market,” Sarvis added. “We anticipate the Davidson station will play a critical role in the future of the Highway 11 economic corridor.”

The Outlook charging station will provide EV owners greater access to the Lake Diefenbaker recreational area.

Riverbend will be completing the preparations and rough ins for the chargers this fall, with the equipment expected to arrive in early 2023.

Both of the FLO station projects were made possible by funding provided by the SaskPower Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program, and support from Natural Resources Canada. For more information about the program, and EVs in Saskatchewan, visit SaskPower.ca/EV.
